Work
This medication is composed of Rosuvastatin and aspirin. Aspirin(ASA) is a drug very commonly used to treat fever, pain and inflammation. The drug inactivates the cyclooxygenase, which is required for the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane. Rosuvastatin increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell-surface, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL and it inhibits the hepatic synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles.
