About Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s
Angizem 60mg Tablet 10’s belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines called ‘calcium channel blockers‘ used to treat mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) and prevent angina pectoris (chest pain). High blood pressure is a condition in which the pressure in the blood vessels is increased. The blood exerts pressure on the walls of blood vessels with increased pressure leading to hypertension. Angina pectoris or chest pain occurs due to reduced blood flow to the heart, which is caused by narrowing or blockage of the heart’s arteries (coronary artery).
Angizem 60mg Tablet 10’s contains ‘Diltiazem’ which works by relaxing the blood vessels in your heart and body, which reduces your raised blood pressure. Besides this, Angizem 60mg Tablet 10’s also lowers your irregular heart rate/rhythm and dilates your coronary arteries. As a result, your heart will have less burden and will be not too much overloaded to pump blood throughout your body. Together Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s lowers your blood pressure, thereby reducing your chest pain (angina).

Hypertension (high blood pressure), Prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain)
Medicinal Benefits
Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines called calcium channel blockers used to treat mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure), and prevent angina pectoris (chest pain). Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions across the heart muscle and smooth muscle linings of the blood vessels, thereby relaxing and widening the narrowed blood vessels making it easier for the blood and oxygen to reach the heart. This, in turn, helps in lowering the blood pressure and the risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s improves the patient’s tolerance to exercise by keeping the blood pressure levels at normal. The heart rate does not change or is slightly lowered during maximal exercise. Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s does not have a negative inotropic effect (does not weaken the heart’s contractions). Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s helps in reducing both standing and lying down blood pressure without any orthostatic hypotension effect (sudden decrease in blood pressure on standing). Also, Angizem 60 Tablet 10’s does not cause reflex tachycardia (fast heart rate due to a drop in blood pressure).
