When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ivabradine or any other inactive ingredients present along with this medicine.
Acute Decompensated heart failure
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from acute decompensated heart failure due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Severe Hepatic impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe liver function impairment since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established for these patients.
Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients receiving strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as clarithromycin, ketoconazole, ritonavir, etc. due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
Heart block
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from a sino-atrial block or a third-degree AV block due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Unstable heart failure
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from an unstable or acute heart failure due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
