What is Yogazam 10mg Tablet

This medication is a benzodiazepine derivative, prescribed for seizure disorders.

How does Clobazam work:

Clobazam calms the brain.

How should Clobazam be used:

Adult: PO- Adjunct in epilepsy; Anxiety- The recommended dose is 20-30 mgday, up to 60 mgday for severe conditions. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Common side effects of Clobazam :

Feeling lightheaded, sleepy, having blurred eyesight, or a change in thinking clearly. Avoid driving and doing other tasks or actions that call for you to be alert or have clear eyesight until you see how this drug affects you. Feeling tired or weak. Hard stools (constipation). Not able to sleep.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. – If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. – Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. – Do not change the dose or stop this drug. – Talk with the doctor.

What precautions should I take when taking Clobazam :

Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or if you become pregnant while being treated with Clobazam. – Clobazam must not be taken by pregnant women, especially in the first trimester. Use an appropriate birth control method while being treated with Clobazam. You may wish to discuss birth control options with your doctor. – Alert your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Do not breastfeed while being treated with Clobazam. – Alert your doctor if you have an eye disease known as glaucoma, liver disease, sleep apnoea (difficulty breathing while asleep), myasthenia gravis or severe lung disease such as asthma.

When do I need to seek medical help

If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Change in thinking clearly and with logic. Signs of low mood (depression), thoughts of killing yourself, nervousness, emotional ups and downs, thinking that is not normal, anxiety, or lack of interest in life. Big change in balance. Feeling very tired or weak. If seizures are worse or not the same after starting this drug. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

Can I take Clobazam with other medicines:

Alert your doctor if you are taking any other medicine especially those listed here: – antidepressants such as fluoxetine, paroxetine. – sleeping pills. – painkillers. – other epilepsy medicines such as phenytoin, carbamazepine. – asthma medicines such as theophylline. – Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.

Are there any food restrictions

Avoid alcohol and grapefruit juice.

How do I store Clobazam :

Store it at controlled room temperature (15-30°C).
