Silotime-D Capsule
Silotime D 8Mg/0.5Mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as alpha blockers. This medication is used to treat enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It functions by relaxing the prostate and bladder muscles allowing greater urine flow. Silotime D 8Mg/0.5Mg Tablet is primarily used by men. It reduces signs and symptoms of BPH.
On using this medication you may experience side effects such as dizziness, decrease in sexual libido, skin rash, hives, discoloration of skin or eyes, chest pain, swelling of body parts or darkening of the urine and painful erection. Seek medical help if you experience any allergic reaction.
Don’t use Silotime D 8Mg/0.5Mg Tablet if you are allergic to any ingredient contained within it, you have kidney/liver disorders. Before using this medication notify your doctor if you have/are:
Taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs,
Allergic to any food/medicine/substance,
Blood pressure or
Prostate cancer,
Scheduled for any surgery soon,
Pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby (for women).
The dosage for this medication should be determined by the doctor. The usual dose in adults for treating prostatic hyperplasia is 8 mg to be taken orally once daily along with a meal.

Are there any missed dose instructions?
If you miss a dose of Silodosin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Silotime D 8Mg/0.5Mg Tablet works as an antagonist of the alpha-1 adrenoreceptor selective for the prostrate. It binds to and blocks these receptors which lowers intraurethral pressure, relaxes smooth muscles and improves urine flow.
