Pan-L Capsule
Pan-L Capsule Sr is primarily prescribed to treat constipation. It is a multi-drug composition containing Levosulpiride and Pantoprazole. Levosulpiride falls under a class of medication known as antipsychotic (also familiar as neuroleptics or tranquilizers) medicines. Whereas Pantoprazole belongs to the class of proton pump inhibitor.
This medication works by softening the stools and prevents the acid reflux in stomach to the food pipe. It also inhibits the excess secretion of acid in the stomach. Patient must follow the prescription, in the same dose and duration as advised to you by your doctor.
On using Pan-L Capsule Sr the associated side effects that you may suffer from are diarrhea, dizziness, blurred vision, oedema, irregular menstrual cycle and others. In the latter case it will be necessary for you to seek medical attention. Before using this medication it is advised that you consult your doctor and tell him/her if you have/are:
Pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant.
Nursing a baby. In case of absolute necessity of using Pan-L Capsule Sr, it is advised that breastfeeding be stopped.
Taking any prescriptive or over the counter drugs, herbals medications or dietary supplements.
A recent surgery or are scheduled for one in the near future.
Pheochromocytoma or gastrointestinal perforation.
History of cancer-related disease.
History of epilepsy or any other kind of seizures.
Allergic to any medicine, food or substance.
The dosage of Pan-L Capsule Sr will be as prescribed by your doctor as per the severity of your condition, your age, gender and overall medical history. But commonly a dose of 25 mg of Pan-L Capsule Sr is prescribed which needs to be taken three times in a day. Results may start to show within an hour or two of using. In case of drug overdose notify your physician right away.
The medicine should be taken till recommended by your doctor, even if your symptoms vanishes. The symptoms may comeback or condition may become worse if you stop this medicine or its treatment early.

Are there any missed dose instructions?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.

Contact a doctor if an overdose with Pan-L Capsule Sr is suspected.
Work
This medicine works by selectively binding to dopamine receptors in the brain and the periphery. This action results in increased tone of muscles in the gastrointestinal tract. It also binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion.
