When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to verapamil, other calcium channel blockers, or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.
Cardiogenic shock
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from a cardiogenic shock due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Heart block greater than first degree
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with second or third-degree heart block due to the risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Sick sinus syndrome
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with sick sinus syndrome except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemaker.
