Topcef O 200mg
Topcef O 200mg Tablet is an antibacterial medication that consists of Cefixime and Ofloxacin. It is used for the treatment of typhoid fever and urinary tract infections. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. This tablet kills the bacteria and stops their further growth.
Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet can cause some side effects of this medicine are diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist. Avoid any activity that requires concentration as Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age.
Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet can be taken with or without food. Once the antibiotic treatment is started, it is recommended to finish the entire course of treatment to prevent antibiotic resistance. Avoid taking any dairy product like milk with Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet as they can interfere with its absorption.

Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella Typhi. This bacteria is spread through contaminated food or water by a human carrier. Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet is used to treat typhoid fever. Symptoms may include high fever, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhoea, vomiting, etc.
Urinary Tract Infection
An infection in any part of your urinary system (kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra) is called a urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs are the most common infections in humans and women are at greater risk of getting this infection. UTIs are caused by bacteria and in some cases, viruses or fungi. Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet is used to treat urinary tract infections caused by bacteria.

When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid taking Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet if you are previously allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Tendinitis or tendon rupture
Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet can cause muscle damage especially in old age. Do not use Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet if you have tendonitis (swelling of fibres that attach bone with muscles) or tendon rupture (a partial or complete tear of the tendon- the tissue that connects muscle to bone).
Myasthenia gravis
Myasthenia gravis is a skeletal muscle weakness condition characterized by severe weakness of any of the muscles under your voluntary control, including the arms and legs. Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet should be avoided if you have myasthenia gravis because it may worsen your condition.

Driving or operating machines
Topcef O (200/200 mg) Tablet may cause dizziness, confusion, or fits in some people. Do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine.
Photosensitivity
