Description
Thyrocab 20 Tablet is an anti-thyroid medicine. It is used to treat hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland). It is also used to relieve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism before radioactive iodine treatment or thyroid surgery. This medicine works by lowering the production of thyroxine.
Thyrocab 20 Tablet causes rapid weight loss as the most common side-effect. You may also experience other side effects like diarrhoea, joint pain, itching, skin rash, fever, headache, drowsiness, etc. These side effects may subside on their own. If they bother you for a longer time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Thyrocab 20 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it at the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Take it regularly at the same time for ease of remembering and for better results. Do not discontinue using this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which your body produces an excess chemical called thyroid hormone. Excessive production of this substance causes unintentional weight loss, rapid/irregular heartbeat, excess sweating, and irritability. Thyrocab 20 Tablet is used in the treatment of this disorder. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism before radioactive iodine treatment or thyroidectomy (surgery of the gland that produces the thyroid).

When not to use?
Allergy

However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Thyrocab 20 Tablet is not recommended if you have a severe liver problem. People with mild to moderate liver problems should exercise caution during the entire treatment course with Thyrocab 20 Tablet.
