About TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML
Taxim O CV 50 DRY SYRUP 30ML belongs to the group of medicines called ‘antibiotics’ used to treat various bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ear, throat, lungs, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick. TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Cefixime (cephalosporin antibiotic) and Clavulanic acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor). Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for their survival, thereby, killing the bacteria preventing the spread of infections. Clavulanic acid works by enhancing the activity of cefixime against bacteria and decreases bacterial resistance. Together, TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML helps to treat bacterial infections.
Take TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML with or without food. The tablet form of TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML should be swallowed as a whole; do not crush or chew the tablet. The liquid form of TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML should be taken by mouth using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the pack well before each use. The dose and duration of TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML can vary depending upon your condition and the severity of the infection. Also, it is recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance). In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
Before starting TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML, please inform your doctor if you have any allergy (against any antibiotic), kidney or liver problems. Do not take TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections. Avoid taking TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption to prevent unpleasant side-effects. TAXIM O CV DRY SYRUP 30ML may cause decreased alertness, confusion, and unusual muscle stiffness or movements; so be cautious while driving. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side-effects.
