Work
This tablet is a combination medicine of two drugs. Amoxicillin is a Penicillin antibiotic and inhibits the transfer of a peptide group in the transpeptidation process. As a result the bacterium is not able to build cell walls and is killed. Clarithromycin is a beta-lactamase inhibitor also called as suicide inhibitor. It bind to the beta-lactamase enzyme covalently, and causes the permeation of the outer layer. Thus, altogether, they both leads to bactericidal and kill the bacteria.
