INTRODUCTION
PATADAY contain olopatadine which belongs to a group of medicine called antihistamines. It is used to treat signs and symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis is one of the most common eye problems, affecting about one fifth of adults. It is caused due to an airborne substance called allergen that reaches the surface of the eye and sets off an allergic reaction.
PATADAY works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible for itching, redness as well as swelling of the surface of your eye. The common side effects are eye pain, eye irritation, dry eye, abnormal eye sensation, eye discomfort, headache, fatigue, dry nose, bad taste. This medicine is only for ophthalmic use.
Always use PATADAY exactly as your doctor has told you. Check the label for directions before use. It is strictly not recommended for use in children under the age of 3 years. Before using this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
WARNING & PRECAUTIONS
PREGNANCY
PATADAY should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking.
BREASTFEEDING
PATADAY is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, since it may cause blurred vision.
ALLERGY
Do not take PATADAY if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to olopatadine or any other ingredients in this medicine.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor, if you:

INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription especially any other eye drops or eye ointment.
