Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml belongs to the group of antibiotics called quinolones used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, ear, prostate, urinary tract and gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease). Additionally, Eye/Ear Drops 5ml is used to treat traveller’s diarrhoea. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick. Eye/Ear Drops 5ml does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml contains norfloxacin it has a rapid bactericidal action and inhibits synthesis of bacterial deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). An enzyme called DNA gyrase plays a key role in this process. On the other hand, Eye/Ear Drops 5ml has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria.

Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml available in various forms. The dose and duration of Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml can vary depending upon your condition and severity of the infection. Also, it is recommended to complete the course of medicine even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance). Consult your doctor if you experience pain in tendons, swelling, and inflammation as Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml is associated with an increased risk of tendon rupture and tendonitis at all age groups; this risk is higher in patients older than 60years, are taking corticosteroids, have had kidney, heart or lung transplant. Consult your doctor before taking Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Eye/Ear Drops 5ml as it causes increased dizziness. Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml may cause dizziness and vision problems, so be cautious while driving.

Take Norflox Eye/Ear Drops 5ml one hour before food or two hours after food. Tablet: Swallow Eye/Ear Drops 5ml as a whole; do not crush or chew the tablet. Eye drops/ointment: Pull the lower eye-lid gently using a finger to form a pocket, position the tube above the eye and gently squeeze a small amount of ointment/drops into the pocket; do not touch the tip of the applicator. Ear drops: Instil 2-3drops into the ear canal; do not touch the tip of the dropper. Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor if you are not sure.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight
