INTRODUCTION
NEOPRIDE 25 MG contain Levosulpiride which belongs to a group of medicine called gastrointestinal prokinetics that increase intestinal peristalsis. It is used for short-term treatment of dyspeptic syndrome such as anorexia, bloating, stomach upset, postprandial headache, heartburn, belching, diarrhoea and constipation. It is also used in symptomatic short-term treatment of nausea and vomiting (caused by anticancer drugs) and vertigo, tinnitus, hearing loss and nausea associated with Meniere’s Syndrome.
NEOPRIDE 25 MG works by increasing the movement of stomach and intestines and prevents reflux (acid going up to the food pipe) and quicken gastric and gall bladder emptying. This medicine causes some rare side effects such as QT prolongation, ventricular arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and cardiac arrest.
Always take NEOPRIDE 25MG exactly as your doctor has told you. It must be taken before food and try to take at the same time each day. It is strictly not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always take NEOPRIDE 25MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken before food and try to take at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

PREGNANCY
NEOPRIDE 25MG is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
BREASTFEEDING
NEOPRIDE 25MG is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machine while taking this medicine as it may cause drowsiness, tingling or dyskinesia.
ALCOHOL
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with NEOPRIDE 25MG.
KIDNEY
NEOPRIDE 25 MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
LIVER
NEOPRIDE 25MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver function impairment or active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY
Do not take NEOPRIDE 25MG if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to levosulpiride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
HEART DISEASE
NEOPRIDE 25 MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active heart diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you have or had a condition such as,
Hypertension
Epilepsy
Gastrointestinal disorders
Suffer from dementia (memory loss or other mental means stroke or mini stroke, venous thromboembolism)
Suffer from blood clots or someone in your family has a history of blood clots
Breast cancer
Pituitary gland prolactinomas and breast cancer
Manic-depressive psychosis
INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, and herbal supplements.
Medicine that prolongs the QT interval (an abnormal heart rhythm)
Medicines that cause electrolyte disturbances (an abnormality in the concentration of electrolytes in the body)
Other medicine that acts on the central nervous system
Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers (verapamil, diltiazem), clonidine, and digitalis
Medicines to treat heart conditions
Medicines such as antacids or sucralfate, sulpiride, lithium
