Nausetil 5mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as phenothiazine. It prevents feelings of extreme vomiting and nausea post-surgery or other kinds of medical treatment. It also treats schizophrenia.
On using this medication you may experience side effects such as lightheadedness, constipation, dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, dilated pupils, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, swelling of body parts, irregular heartbeat, drooling, muscle weakness, tiredness, unusual bleeding, restlessness, tremors, twitching, erectile dysfunction, headache, numbness and physical misbalance. If your reactions persist or become severe over time seek medical attention promptly.
Before using this medication inform your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Nausetil 5mg Tablet, you are already taking any medications particularly astemizole, tramadol, terfenadine, pergolide, metoclopramide, dofetilide and cisapride. You are alcoholic or have drowsiness, you have blood/ heart/ kidney/ liver / mood disorders, you have high blood pressure, you have any other allergies, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are nursing a baby.
Ideally the dosage for Nausetil 5mg Tablet should be determined by the doctor based on your medical history and current condition. The usual dose in adults for nausea is 5-10 mg, taken orally 3-4 times daily.
