Overview
Maxiflo 100 Rotacap is used for Concomitant therapy with an inhaled corticosteroid in treatment of asthma, Maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm, Seasonal and year-round allergic, Stuffy/runny nose, Itching and sneezing, Itchy and watery eyes and other conditions. Maxiflo 100 Rotacap may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Maxiflo 100 Rotacap contains Fluticasone Propionate and Formoterol as active ingredients.

Uses
Maxiflo 100 Rotacap is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Concomitant therapy with an inhaled corticosteroid in treatment of asthma
Maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm
Seasonal and year-round allergic
Stuffy/runny nose
Itching and sneezing
Itchy and watery eyes
Side-effects
The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Maxiflo 100 Rotacap. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Precautions
Before using Maxiflo Rotacap, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Breathing problem
Chest or lung infection
Do not expose the drug to moisture
Do not to increase the dose or frequency unless consulted by doctor
Do not use anti-inflammatory agents to replace corticosteroids in the treatment of asthma
Handle capsules with dry hands
It is not indicated to relieve acute asthma symptoms
Learn to use the inhaler appropriately
Liver disease
Patients who are unusually responsive to sympathomimetic amines
Interactions with Maxiflo 100 Rotacap
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Maxiflo Rotacap may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Maxiflo 100 Rotacap may interact with the following drugs and products:
Acetaminophen
Albuterol
Ascorbic acid
Beta-blockers
Cetirizine
Cholecalciferol
Cyanocobalamin
Drugs that prolong the QTc interval
Levothyroxine
Loop or thiazide diuretics
When not to use Maxiflo 100 Rotacap
Hypersensitivity to Maxiflo 100 Rotacap is a contraindication. In addition, Maxiflo 100 Rotacap should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic to it or to any ingredients
Allergic to milk proteins
Breastfeeding
Hypersensitivity to this drug
Planning to become pregnant
Pregnant
Treatment of asthma without concomitant use of a long-term asthma control medication, such as an inhaled corticosteroid
