Klacid Iv Injection may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.Klacid Iv Injection contains Clarithromycin as an active ingredient.

Uses

Klacid Iv Injection is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
Acute maxillary sinusitis
Community-acquired pneumonia
Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
Skin and skin structure infections
Acute otitis media
Mycobacterial infections
Helicobacter pylori infection

Side-effects

Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Nausea
Vomiting
Anaphylactic reaction
Candidiasis
Headache
Insomnia
Rash

Precautions

When not to use Klacid  Injection

Hypersensitivity to Klacid Iv Injection is a contraindication. In addition, Klacid Iv Injection should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Cholestatic jaundice
Concomitant use with colchicine, statins, ergotamine, dihydroergotamine, cisapride, pimozide
Hepatic dysfunction
Hypersensitivity to this drug
