INTRODUCTION
FURAMIST contain Fluticasone which belongs to a group of medicine called corticosteroids. It has antiinflammatory properties. When sprayed into your nose it will reduce swelling and irritation. It is used to treat and prevent seasonal allergic rhinitis such as hay fever, perennial rhinitis (blocked or runny nose, sneezing, and itching caused by dust mites or animals such as cats and dogs).
FURAMIST works by blocking the production of chemical messengers involved in the inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. This gives relief from the discomfort and irritation in your nose. This medicine is strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Before using this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
USES OF FURAMIST
Prevent and treat seasonal allergic rhinitis such as hay fever
Prevent and treat perennial rhinitis (blocked or runny nose, sneezing, and itching caused by dust mites or animals such as cats and dogs)

SIDE EFFECTS OF FURAMIST
SERIOUS
Allergic reactions such as wheezing, coughing or having difficulty with breathing, suddenly feeling weak or light headedness, swelling around the face, mouth or tongue, skin rashes or redness
Bronchospasm (the narrowing of the airways in the lungs)

Nosebleed

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
Cough:
Drink fluids which helps thin the mucus in your throat. Suck on cough drops or hard candies.

PREGNANCY

BREASTFEEDING
FURAMIST should be used with caution in breast feeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
FURAMIST not known to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
ALLERGY
Do not use FURAMIST if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fluticasone or any other ingredients in this medicine. Consult your doctor for advice.
LUNGS
FURAMIST should be used with caution in patients suffering from active lung diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you have or had a condition such as,
Recent injury or ever had an operation on your nose
Ulcer in your nose
Cold or an infection in your nose or sinuses
Any type of untreated infections, tuberculosis or ocular herpes
INTERACTIONS
Talk to your doctor if you are taking,
Prednisolone (used to treat asthma or rheumatoid arthritis)
Hydrocortisone cream (used to treats eczema or dermatitis)
Ketoconazole (used to treat fungal infections)
Ritonavir, cobicistat (used to treat HIV infections)
