Mode of Action of Fostera 5mg Tablet
How Does It Work?
The Fostera tablet contains two active ingredients: fluoxetine and olanzapine. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant medication. It increases the activity and levels of serotonin in the brain by blocking its reuptake by nerve cells. Serotonin is a natural chemical substance in the brain responsible for stabilising mood, causing good feelings, and improving behaviour. It can also help in sleeping, eating, and digestion. Olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication. It works by acting on dopamine and serotonin receptors. This medication balances the levels of these two chemical substances, balancing mood and improving thinking and behaviour.
