Description
Endogest 200 MG Capsule contains a female hormone (chemical messenger) called Progesterone. It is used to treat problems related to hormonal imbalance. This includes menstrual problems like secondary amenorrhea (absence of three or more periods in a row) and pregnancy-related problems.
Endogest 200 MG Capsule is used along with another hormone called estrogen to prevent endometrial hyperplasia (overgrowth or thickening of the lining of the uterus/womb) and symptoms of menopause (end of the menstrual cycle). This medicine is used in hormone replacement therapy as it helps to increase the levels of progesterone hormone in your body.
Endogest 200 MG Capsule may lead to side effects such as nausea, headache, abnormal vaginal discharge, stomach pain, dizziness, diarrhoea or constipation, etc. These symptoms are usually seen during the first few weeks of therapy and decrease as your body adjusts to the medication. Never use Endogest 200 MG Capsule if you are allergic to it.
Endogest 200 MG Capsule can be taken with food. Take it at the same time every day to avoid any missed dose. The dose and duration of this medicine will be prescribed by the doctor based on your condition.

Uses of Endogest 200 MG Capsule
What is it prescribed for?
Endometrial hyperplasia
Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition associated with the female reproductive system. The lining of the uterus/womb is thickened due to imbalanced female sex hormones (progesterone) after menopause (end of the menstrual cycle). This condition is characterised by symptoms such as heavy bleeding or intermittent bleeding between periods, painful periods, etc. As you age the levels of progesterone and estrogen hormones decrease in your body. Endogest 200 MG Capsule replaces these hormones and treats the symptoms of menopause.
Secondary Amenorrhoea
Secondary Amenorrhoea is the absence of menstrual periods for more than three monthly menstrual cycles. It mainly occurs due to various reasons like hormonal imbalance, stress, drastic weight loss, etc. Endogest 200 MG Capsule helps in maintaining hormone levels in your body thereby regulating your monthly periods.
