Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml
Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eye. Bacterial eye infection occurs when the harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea. Symptoms of an infection include red eye, pain, discharge, watery/dry eyes, swelling, itching, and sensitivity to light. Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml does not treat fungal or viral infections of the eye.
Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination of two drugs, namely: Difluprednate (steroid) and Moxifloxacin (antibiotic). Difluprednate blocks the chemical messengers that cause swelling, itching, and redness. Moxifloxacin kills the bacteria by preventing them from dividing and repairing themselves. Together, Eye Drops 5 ml helps in treating bacterial infection of the eye.
Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml is for external use only. Use the dropper provided by the pack to instil the drops into the eye. You are advised to use Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as irritation, blurred vision, dry/watery eyes, and discomfort. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Talk to your doctor if the irritation persists despite using Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml for a week or if it worsens. Consult your doctor before using Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Diflumox Eye Drops 5 ml should not be used in children unless prescribed by the doctor. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper as it may contaminate the contents. Keep your doctor informed regarding your health condition and the medicines you are taking to prevent any side effects/interactions.
