Cardace MEto 5 Tablet is used for High blood pressure, Cardiac arrhythmias, Elevated blood pressure, Heart failure, Hypertension, Supraventricular arrhythmia, Angina pectoris, Hyperthyroidism, Myocardial infarction, Migraine attacks and other conditions. Cardace MEto 5 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Cardace MEto 5 Tablet contains Metoprolol and Ramipril as active ingredients.
Cardace MEto 5 Tablet works by relaxing blood vessels thus decreasing blood pressure and by reducing infarct size; relaxing the blood vessels which make it easier for the heart to pump blood;

Uses
Cardace MEto 5 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
High blood pressure
Cardiac arrhythmias
Elevated blood pressure
Heart failure
Hypertension
Supraventricular arrhythmia
Angina pectoris
Hyperthyroidism
Myocardial infarction
Migraine attacks
Side-effects
The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Cardace MEto 5 Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Headache
Cold hands and feet
Nightmares
Slow heart rate
Hypotension
Arterial insufficiency
Chest pain
Congestive heart failure
Dizziness
Fatigue
Depression
Confusion
Insomnia
Short term memory loss
Severe itching of the skin
Rash
Increased redness, itchiness, scaly patches on skin
Reversible partial or complete absence of hair from areas of the body
Sexual dysfunction

Shrinkage of the conjunctiva

Precautions
Before using Cardace MEto 5 Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Alcohol

When not to use Cardace MEto 5 Tablet
Hypersensitivity to Cardace MEto 5 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Cardace MEto 5 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Abnormally low or unstable blood pressure
Aliskiren
Bilateral renal artery stenosis
Breastfeeding
Cardiogenic shock
Concurrent of K sparing diuretics
Dialysis
Heart block
Hypersensitivity
Outflow tract obstruction
