INTRODUCTION
BUDENASE AQ contains Budesonide which belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are used to reduce and prevent the inflammation. It is used in the treatment of seasonal allergic and allergic/non-allergic rhinitis unresponsive to conventional therapy. It is also indicated in the treatment of nasal polyps and in the prevention of nasal polyps after polypectomy.
Use this medicine according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. It is used for the nose only. Do not use it in eyes or mouth. The common side effect is nasal and throat irritation. It is not recommended for children under 6 years of age and continuous, long-term treatment. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis or any infections, pregnant or breastfeeding.

HOW BUDENASE AQ WORKS
BUDENASE AQ is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid that exhibits potent glucocorticoid activity and weak mineral corticoid activity. It prevents or control inflammation by controlling the rate of protein synthesis, depressing the migration of polymorph nuclear leukocytes, fibroblasts, and reversing the capillary permeability and lysosomal stabilization at the cellular level to prevent or control inflammation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use this medicine according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. It is used for the nose only. Do not use it in eyes or mouth.
- Remove the protective cap from the nose piece.
- Use your index and middle fingers and support the base of the bottle with your thumb.
- Hold the bottle tightly and tilt your head forward. With the help of your finger close one nostril and gently insert the tip of the nose piece into the other nostril.
- Press downwards firmly once on the collar. Breathe gently inwards through the nostril, and then breathe out through the mouth.
- Repeat the same procedure for the other nostril
- Replace the protective cap on the nose piece. Keep the bottle in an upright position.

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS
PREGNANCY
BUDENASE AQ should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
BREASTFEEDING
BUDENASE AQshould be used with caution during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
This medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to driving or using machines.
LIVER
BUDENASE AQ should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver function impairment or active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS
Inform your doctor, if you have:
- Tuberculosis
- Asthma
INTERACTIONS
Inform your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription or the following,
- Cimetidine and omeprazole
- Ketoconazole or itraconazole (used to treat infections)
- Ritonavir, cobicistat and nelfinivir (used to HIV infection)
