Description
Asthafen 1 Tablet is a medicine used to treat allergic symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis. These symptoms include nasal congestion, runny itchy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and itchy, red, eyes, etc. It also used for the treatment of asthma attacks, bronchial asthma, and especially mild atopic asthma in children. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 3 years of age.

What is it prescribed for?
Asthma prophylaxis
This medicine is used along with other medicines for the prevention of asthma attacks. It is not helpful in the treatment of an acute asthma attack.
Allergic Rhinitis
This medicine is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing; runny, stuffy, or itchy nose; watery eyes; eye itching; etc. associated with allergic rhinitis.
When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ketotifen or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

Driving or operating machinery

Close monitoring of the patient’s condition, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Report the past/present incidence of all diseases including heart and blood vessel disorder, electrolyte imbalance, any disease associated with the thyroid and other glands, etc to the doctor. All the other conditions should be considered before therapy with this medicine is initiated.
