Amlovas 5mg Tablet
The Amlovas 5mg tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine. Amlovas 5mg is used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina). It contains Amlodipine as its main ingredient. This medicine lowers the raised blood pressure and thus reduces the pressure or workload on the heart, which further reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke. Inform your doctor if you recently had a heart attack or are suffering from heart failure. Take as suggested by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed based on the blood pressure range and severity of the condition. You can take this medicine with or without food. It would be best if you take Amlovas 5mg at the same time every day to gain optimal benefits. Uncontrolled blood pressure can lead to serious health consequences on various organs such as the heart, kidney, brain, eye, etc. Thus, never stop taking the medicine even if you start feeling better, without consulting your doctor.

Mode of Action of Amlovas 5 MG
How Does It Work?
Amlodipine in Amlovas 5 tablet relaxes and widens the blood vessels. Thus, it is easier for the blood to pass through the blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure. It improves the blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle and relieves chest pain.
Directions for Use of Amlovas 5 MG
Take as directed by the doctor. Swallow as a whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. Take it the same time every day optimal results. You must take as prescribed by the doctor.

Concomitant use of amlodipine and clarithromycin leads to a drastic drop in blood pressure levels.

Overdose
