Work
This medicine is a combination of Amlodipine, Atenolol and these drugs belong to the class of a calcium channel blocker and beta-blocker respectively. It works by inhibiting the entry of calcium into the cardiac and vascular smooth muscles and prevents the contraction of the muscles and thereby reduces the blood pressure. It also blocks beta-receptors sites in the heart, blood vessels, and lungs. It results in inhibition of epinephrine resulting in relaxed blood vessels, thus the pressure is lowered and blood flow to the heart is improved.
