What is it prescribed for?
Type II Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a health condition that occurs due to the excess blood sugar levels in your body. This results in decreased insulin (hormone produced by the pancreas) production that is responsible for the conversion of glucose from the food taken into the form of energy. Diabetes is of 2 types- type I DM (no production of insulin) and type II DM (insulin resistance). Zomet 500 MG Tablet is used to reduce blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes of both adults and children.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that results due to the enlargement of ovaries with cysts developed in the outer lining of the ovary. This mainly occurs in women of reproductive age due to hormonal imbalance or prolonged menstrual cycle. Zomet 500 MG Tablet is also sometimes used in treating Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
When not to use?
Avoid taking Zomet 500 MG Tablet or any other formulation containing it if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.

Severe kidney impairment
