Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL is a heart medicine that contains Metoprolol. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain caused when your heart muscle does not get enough oxygen-rich blood), and arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL helps in preventing heart attack (a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle) and stroke (damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply). Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL works by reducing the rate and force of the contractions of your heart. Thus it decreases high blood pressure.

Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL may cause side effects like headache, breathing difficulty, low blood pressure, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a longer time. This medicine may also cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine. Do not take Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL if you are allergic to it.

Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL should be taken with food or immediately after food. For the ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

When not to use?

Allergy

Second or third-degree heart block

Bradycardia
Bradycardia or slow heart rate occurs when your heart beats less than 60 times per minute. Vinicor Xl 50 MG Tablet XL is not recommended to treat a slow heart rate.

Dosage
