What is RABICER D SR?
Rabicer DSR contains domperidone and rabeprazole
Domperidone belongs to a group of medicines called ‘dopamine antagonists’
Rabeprazole belongs to a group of medicines called Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs). It acts by reducing the amount of acid made by the stomach
What RABICER D SR is used for?
It is used to treat,
Nausea and vomiting
Ulcer in the upper part of the intestine (duodenal ulcer) and benign stomach ulcer
Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) with or without ulcer
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Helicobacter pylori infection with combination of antibiotics
Warning & Precautions
Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic to domperidone, rabeprazole or any of the other ingredients in this medicine
Have black, tarry bowel motions (stools) or notice blood in your bowel motions. This could be a sign of bleeding in the stomach or intestines
Have a blockage or tear in your intestines
Have a tumor of the pituitary gland called a prolactinoma
Have a moderate or severe liver and kidney disease
Have or had heart failure

Interactions
Talk to your doctor if you are taking medicines such as,
Oral ketoconazole, fluconazole or voriconazole used for fungal infections
Erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, moxifloxacin, pentamidine used for bacterial infections
Heart problems or high blood pressure (e.g., amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, disopyramide, dofetilide, sotalol, diltiazem, verapamil)
Haloperidol, pimozide, sertindole used for psychoses
Citalopram, escitalopram used for depression
Gastro-intestinal disorders (e.g., cisapride, dolasetron, prucalopride)
Mequitazine, mizolastine used for allergy
Halofantrine used for malaria
Protease inhibitors used for AIDS/HIV
Toremifene, vandetanib, vincamine, erlotinib used for cancer
Directions & For Use
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
For oral use only
Take this medicine must be swallowed with a glass of water
Take this medicine before meals
If you take more RABICER D SR
If you take more RABICER D SR, consult your doctor immediately
If you forget to take RABICER D SR
If you miss a dose, take your medicine as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until that is due and continue as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking RABICER D SR
Do not stop taking this medicine without first talking to your doctor
Side Effects
Like all medicines, these medicines can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Domperidone:
Swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips or throat which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing
Irregular eye movements, unusual movements of the tongue, and abnormal posture such as a twisted neck, trembling and muscle stiffness
Very fast or unusual heartbeat
Rabeprazole:
Sudden wheezing, swelling of your lips, face or body, rash, fainting or difficulties swallowing (severe allergic reaction)
Yellow skin, dark urine and tiredness which can be symptoms of liver problems
Reddening of the skin with blisters or peeling and may be associated with a high fever and joint pains
Severe blisters and bleeding in the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals
Storage
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
