Metrogyl Gel
Metrogyl 2 % Gel is a topical antibiotic medicine that contains metronidazole. It is used to treat rosacea also known as adult acne(red, pus-filled bumps on the face). It works by killing the bacteria and stopping the spread of this infection.
Metrogyl 2 % Gel may show side effects such as irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms bother you for a long time or worsen. Do not use this gel if you are allergic to it.
Metrogyl 2 % Gel is for external use only. Clean and dry the surface area before applying this medicine. Gently apply a thin layer of this gel as prescribed by your doctor. Apply this medicine every day at the same time for the ease of remembering. Do not apply more than the prescribed quantity as it may cause undesirable effects. It takes up to 3 months to improve your skin condition. Do not stop using this gel without consulting your doctor.
