Hodpro 50 mg Capsule is an anticancer agent which is used in the treatment of Hodgkin’s Disease, a type of cancer that originates from the blood cells (lymphocytes) and affects the lymphatic system. It is also used to treat cancers in brain tissues.

Hodgkin’s Disease
This medicine is used in the treatment of Hodgkin’s Disease, a type of cancer that originates from the blood cells (lymphocytes) and affects the lymphatic system.
Anaplastic Astrocytoma
This medicine is used in combination with other medicines for the treatment of Anaplastic Astrocytoma (a type of brain cancer).
Glioblastoma Multiforme
This medicine is used in combination with other medicines for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (a type of brain cancer).
When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to procarbazine or any other inactive ingredients present along with it.
Bone marrow depression and blood disorders
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with bone marrow depression and other blood disorders such as leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, or severe anemia.

Impairment of fertility

Infections
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from infections due to the increased risk of bone marrow suppression which may further worsen the patient’s existing condition. Report any signs or symptoms suggesting infection such as fever, sore throat, weight loss, red or inflamed skin, pain or burning during urination, etc. to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of hematopoietic function is recommended. An alternative treatment option should be considered in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Food interactions
Consumption of food or beverages containing high tyramine content is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the risk of high blood pressure. Report any unusual symptoms such as severe headache, confusion, blurred vision, problems with speech or balance, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, convulsions, numbness or weakness, etc. to the doctor immediately.
