Frisium 5 mg tablets are used to treat severe anxiety. It contains clobazam as a chief ingredient. This medication is categorised under a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. These drugs are highly habit-forming, and thus they should strictly be used under the guidance of a well trained medical professional. They work by decreasing the excessive and abnormal activity of nerve cells. They are also used to control seizures. However, once started, their use should be regular, and the course of the medicine should be completed without any gap. Mode of Action of Frisium 5 MG
How Does It Work?
The primary mode of action of Frisium depends upon its ability to increase a neurotransmitter (a chemical in the brain) called GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA decreases the excess and abnormal activity of the nerve cells (neurons) in the brain, resulting in decreased anxiety and seizures/epilepsy. GABA is an inhibitory chemical in the brain and it decreases the process of signal transmission in the nerves of the brain, thus reducing nerve activity.
