Work
This medication acts as an alcohol-abuse inhibitor. It interferes with the way your body metabolizes alcohol. The alcohol is metabolized by aldehyde dehydrogenase enzyme and get break down into acetaldehyde compounds. It also hinders the proper functioning of the enzyme. As a result, acetaldehyde is not converted to acetic acid and gets accumulated in the bloodstream instead.
