Busiron 5Mg Tablet helps to reduce anxiety and restore the balance of chemicals in the brain and nerves. It is effective against symptoms of agitation, irritation, panic attacks or dizziness.
This drug, however, does not belong to a class of antipsychotic drugs and cannot be substituted for medication prescribed specifically for mental health. The drug cannot be administered to children or teenagers below 18 years of age.
It cannot be stopped at a go. You need to keep reducing your dosage and gradually stop taking it. You may have to undergo certain withdrawal symptoms. Do not take the medicine less than or more than the administered dosage and do not prolong the treatment unless advised by the doctor. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive any time soon, you must take proper advice from the doctor and get yourself examined thoroughly.
The safety of medicines has not yet been established in breastfeeding mothers and their infants, so it is best to not take this medicine if you are lactating. You may take the medicine with or without food but you must maintain the method each time. Your medical expert may keep changing your dosage based on your response to the treatment.

Are there any missed dose instructions?
If you miss a dose of this drug, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Work
The molecules of this medication after absorption, get attached to the 5-HT type 1A receptors of serotonin reducing serotonergic activity. It also blocks dopamine receptors and ultimately increases the dopaminergic and noradrenergic cell firing. Thus relieves the symptoms of anxiety.
