Work
Bioderm Ointment is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid action. It decreases inflammation by inhibiting the migration of leukocytes and reduces the permeability of capillaries and inhibiting prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators. Also, it works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Lastly, this medicine inhibits certain enzymes and also prevents DNA replication. However, not much else is known regarding the mechanism of action of the same medication.
