Ascabiol Emulsion
Ascabiol Emulsion is a medicine that consists of Cetrimide and Lindane. It is used to treat scabies (contagious itchy skin caused by mites). This medicine kills the mites and their eggs and cures the infection. It also kills head lice.
Ascabiol Emulsion has some side effects like dry skin, skin irritation, skin rash, etc. These side effects may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you or worsen. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Ascabiol Emulsion is for external use only. Before applying this medicine, clean the skin surface area without using soap. Gently apply a thin layer of this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. It is not recommended to apply more than the required quantity. Do not leave it on your skin for more than 8-12 hours, wash it with warm water. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after each application. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth as it may cause irritation.
Ascabiol Emulsion may not be suitable for all people. Inform your doctor of your entire medical history including other skin conditions, liver/kidney problems, seizures and, all your ongoing medicines. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine.
