What is it prescribed for?

This medicine may be used for the treatment of steroid responsive dermatoses associated with superficial bacterial and fungal infections of the skin.
When not to use?
Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to betamethasone, miconazole, gentamicin, or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.

Use of this medicine has been sometimes associated with an increase in intraocular pressure and may cause glaucoma or formation of cataract. It should be very carefully administered in patients who have a disease of the eye.
Allergic reactions
This medicine has the potential of causing moderate to severe allergic reactions in the body. Any instance indicative of allergic reactions should be reported to the doctor in the first instance.
Cushing’s syndrome
This medicine may cause hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression and Cushing’s syndrome in patients receiving high doses for a prolonged period. Any symptoms of swelling of the face, increase in the blood glucose levels, etc. should be informed to the doctor on priority. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
