INTRODUCTION
AVIL contains Pheniramine which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-allergic agents. It is indicated to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever, drug rashes, angioneurotic oedema, serum sickness, allergic conjunctivitis, food allergy and conditions of the respiratory tract that are accompanied by increased secretion. It also prevents and treats motion sickness, nausea, vomiting and vertigo due to Menière’s disease and other labyrinthine disturbances.
Pheniramine belongs to antihistamine agents which works by blocking certain natural substances (histamines) that cause allergic symptoms.
Before receiving , tell your physician if you have any allergic reactions such as asthma, narrow angle glaucoma, liver, kidney or heart problems. Inform your physician for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The common side effects are drowsiness or sleepiness.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Avoid driving or handling any machines if you experience drowsiness while taking this medicine.
KIDNEY

LIVER
this is metabolized in the liver and dose adjustments should be considered in patients with severe hepatic disease. Consult your doctor for advice.
ALLERGY

HEART DISEASE
AVIL should be used with caution in patients with severe cardiovascular disease and close monitoring will be required. Consult your doctor for advice.
