Pioplus 2 Tablet is used for Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Lower blood glucose in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, Maturity onset diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Polycystic ovary syndrome and other conditions. Pioplus 2 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.Pioplus 2 Tablet contains Glimepiride, Metformin and Pioglitazone as active ingredients.
Pioplus 2 Tablet works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas; decreasing the amount of glucose and controls the amount of glucose in the blood; helping the body make better use of insulin by decreasing the glucose output;

Pioplus 2 Tablet is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

Precautions
Before using Pioplus 2 Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Be careful when driving or operating machinery
Be careful while using it with insulin or renal hypoglycaemics
Blurred vision
Check the blood sugar regularly
Consult a doctor if you have any mental confusion, persistent abdominal pain, dark urine, yellowing of skin/eyes or easy bruising
Consult a doctor if you have oedema, congestive heart failure, hepatic dysfunction, jaundice, anaemia
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Inform doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
Inform doctor if you breastfeed or plan to breastfeed
Interactions with Pioplus 2 Tablet

When not to use Pioplus 2 Tablet
Hypersensitivity to Pioplus 2 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Pioplus 2 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Acute myocardial infarction
Cardiovascular collapse
Diabetic ketoacidosis
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity to sulfonamide derivatives
Hypersensitivity to this drug
Renal disease
Septicemia
