Modalert 100 mg Tablet is used to promote wakefulness in patients with extreme sleepiness during daytime or sleepiness due to sleeping disorders. It also helps in staying awake during work hours if the work schedule is not adjusted to having a scheduled sleeping time. It will not cure the sleep disorders or get rid of all kind of sleepiness. It should not be used to hold off sleep in those who do not have any sleeping disorders.

This medicine is used for patients with sleeping disorders like Obstructive Sleep Apnea, a condition where the breathing stops for a short period of time or the breathing is shallow, leading to a lack of sleep at night and daytime sleepiness.
Shift work sleep disorder
Modalert 100 mg Tablet is used to reduce excessive sleepiness in those who do not have a sleeping schedule due to the changes in the shifts of work.

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to modafinil or its related compounds or any other components present with it.
