Mode of Action of Etizola Beta 0.5mg Tablet
How Does It Work?
Etizola Beta 0.5mg Tablet is a combination medicine containing Etizolam-0.5mg (benzodiazepine) and Propranolol-20mg (a beta-blocker). Etizolam produces sedating and calming effects in users by acting on the brain to increase the inhibitory effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA is a chemical messenger in the brain that functions as a natural nerve-calming agent. GABA predominantly produces inhibitory effects, and hence this medication produces sedating, anti-anxiety, calming effects. Propranolol acts by blocking a certain chemical messenger in the heart and blood vessels, which results in reduced heart rate, blood pressure, and workload of the heart.
