CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet contains Amlodipine, Chlorthalidone and Telmisartan as active ingredients.
CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet works by blocking the action of a substance responsible for narrowing the blood vessels; inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscles; increasing elimination of sodium and chloride and therefore water from the body;

Precautions
Before using CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
Allergies
Asthma
Avoid drinking alcohol
Avoid getting dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather
Consult your doctor in case of existing fluid and electrolyte disturbances, hepatic cirrhosis, severe heart failure, hyperuricemia, mild to moderate renal impairment
Do not take chlorthalidone and potassium salt or a potassium sparing diuretic
Exercise caution in case of kidney or liver disease and diabetes
Get your blood pressure, potassium and kidney function checked 1 week after starting this medicine
Hepatic impairment
Inform your doctor of any other medications you may be taking
Interactions with CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. When not to use CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet
Hypersensitivity to CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, CTD-T AM 12.5/80/5 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Breastfeeding
Hepatic impairment
Hypersensitivity
Lack of urine production
Obstructive biliary disorders
Pregnant
Sulfa allergy
